Top 5 Sweet Treats in Miami

Disclaimer: I am a chocoholic. I have the biggest sweet tooth and am obsessed with all things chocolate, especially Nutella. Being the foodie that I am, I wanted to share my favorite spots in Miami that serve THE BEST treats, guaranteed!

1. The Salty Donut

Ouuuu, my absolute favorite! If you know me, you know that I am obsessed with The Salty Donut. And to be fair, I don’t even like donuts, but these donuts are on another level. The Salty Donut is my top recommendation to anyone looking to try something unique, delicious, and worth your buck. They have different flavors for every preference, sweet, salty, savory, fruity; you name it, they have it! They also sell amazing baked goods, such as banana bread and cookies. Not to mention, the shop itself is a vibe, all the employees are very friendly, and they are always hosting events and interacting with their customers through social media. I have never had a bad experience at The Salty Donut, and trust me; I go way too often. The Salty Donut is a MUST, and if you haven’t tried it, what are you waiting for?!

2. Fireman Derek's Bake Shop

If you’re looking for quality baked goods, this is the #1 spot. Fireman Derek’s is famous for their pies, but honestly, everything is just as delicious. My two favorite things to order are the cinnamon raisin bread pudding and a slice of the Nutella cookie pie. I also love the Nutella cookie pie shake, and it’s 100% worth the calories. Fireman Derek’s sells really yummy cookies, which I also enjoy (guava white chocolate chip and chocolate chip are a go-to)! Every time I go to Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop, I leave with many more goodies than I planned to buy, and that’s ok because everything tastes way too good! I will say their menu is a little pricey, but they never disappoint, and I would definitely give them a try. You can thank me later.

3. Knausberry Farm

A fan favorite for all of Miami. Knausberry Farm is the best place if you're looking for top-quality goods and a fun experience! Knausberry Farm is a U-Pick farm, where visitors can pick strawberries and tomatoes depending on the season. They sell the BEST milkshakes (my favorite is the strawberry), bread, honey, cheesecake, and their world-famous sticky cinnamon buns. These cinnamon buns are EVERYTHING!! And to top it off, Knausberry Farm and Salty Donut collaborated to create a Stickybun donut that causes some very long lines as it is a limited edition product. Overall, Knausberry Farm is a must if you're looking for a mini adventure filled with delicious homemade goods. Knausberry Farm is a 10/10!

4. Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream

Chill-N is extremely popular in Miami, so much that I see someone I know almost every time I go. I love nitrogen ice cream in general, not only because of the taste, but the entire experience is cool to watch. Chill-N Ice Cream tastes like gelato to me, so that’s a plus. I love Chill-N because they have over 20 mix-in toppings that make the ice cream tastier and more personal to the customer. I always order a Nutella ice cream with mixed berries, and it never disappoints. As I said, I love Nutella, and I mostly love it with fruit, like banana, strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry, so there’s no going wrong for me here. Chill-N's theme is scientific and colorful, which is clever and creates a fun aesthetic. Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream is a go-to.

5. Kith Treats

To all my cereal lovers, this is just for you! Kith Treats serve cereal-based ice creams, milkshakes, commuter bowls, and ice cream sandwiches. I’ve never really liked cereal, even as a little girl. But, I do love Kith Treats. I prefer the milkshakes over anything else, but all the options are delicious. The Bam Bam, The Wifey, and The Fiegster are my 3 favorite flavors, depending on my mood. Kith Treats is inside the Kith store, so you get the Kith “hypebeast” vibe and can check out the store while eating a sweet treat. Kith Treats is the most expensive of all the places that I’ve mentioned, but that’s part of the Kith experience.

BONUS:

Gelateria by Venchi

Mmm, mmm, mmm. I know this is only top 5 but I couldn't resist including Venchi since it's my favorite gelato in all of Miami. The first time I ate Venchi was in Italy, and I fell in love immediately. I am very picky when it comes to gelato/ice cream, and I must say Venchi is top-notch quality. The store is beautifully decorated and has a chocolate fountain that will make your mouth water just by looking at it. The best part is, you can drizzle the chocolate from the fountain on top of your gelato. It tastes 20 times better than it sounds. Venchi is a bit expensive, but it is guaranteed to satisfy your sugar cravings and make you come back for more.
